Got stitches and have to keep a band-aid on it but it gets irritated?
I got a mole removed on my back, so they put stitches in. I have to have them in for two weeks. Its been almost a week since I got them, and we have to keep it covered with a band-aid. The band-aid irritates my skin so we got fabric band-aids, and but them on each time in different directions, but it still irritates my skin. What can I do to keep it from getting so irritated?

- If its the adhesive part of the bandaid that is irritating your skin, you could always use cause and medical tape to secure the cause. Medical tape does not stick to you in the same way bandaids do... you could try that.
- Well I guess you just have to live with it eh because you cant go start picking and scratching at it because the stiches will come out
- Many people are allergic to Band-Aid adhesive. If it's dry, you might get by without any covering at all, since your clothes will protect it. But if you want to cover it, instead of Band-Aids, you might consider Gauss and gas permeable tape.
- I find fabric plasters are more irritating than any others. I cover any wounds with a pad of lint and secure them down with Sellotape (transparent sticky tape).
