- Tucks medicated pads work like a charm!
- Try using ice packs. Make sure you keep it clean after using the bathroom. As long as the doctor says it looks good, I wouldn't worry. If it continues to be a problem, call your doctor again. Feel better!
- when i had my daughter i ripped and required stitches...trust me when i say to go and buy Tucks Pads. use one everytime you go to the restroom. use toilet paper first and then hold a tucks pad to the episiotomy site for a few seconds. it might sting a little at first but it will be better in a few uses.
- Polysporin will help it heal faster. Try tucks too
- congrats on the baby by the way i had stitches down there too i had a episiodomy done and it took 6 months to heal what you should use is tucks medicated pads they work wonders and you can use some desinin its a cream that you put on a babys bottom when he or she has a diaper rash that works well too congrats and good luck
- Just keep rinsing it with your squirt bottle. It does take time to heal, you just have to be patient. I also would use ice packs to ease the pain. You can soak some maxi pads and put them in the freezer and use them as ice packs. Hope that help you.
- Did the doctor tell you to try a sitz bath? I forget exacty how, just remember that it was recommended for my stitches.
- the others have offered the advice I would give you, how about soaking in warm water, have you tried this also? If it continues to be a problem, please discuss with your doctor.. Good Luck and congratulations....
- Sit on some frozen peas or something like that....it will heal
- Take a pad and wet it under the sink. Then put it in the freezer for awhile. It helps. My Dr. gave me some sort of numbing spray. Did you get any of that? You use it after you go to the bathroom snd it really helps! It called Dermoplast. Maybe you can get it at a good pharmacy. It says its for burns and stuff like that. Other than that, I liked numbing it with ice packs. I had a 3rd degree tear so I know its really not fun!
- Hiya. I had my first baby 5 weeks ago and i had to have stitches too, with a 2nd Degree tare. I was in absolute agony with it, for the 1st 2to3 weeks, and it hurt so much to unrinate. But the thing that was an absolute lifesafer was every couple of hours (Also, EVERYTIME you need to pee) stand in the bath and aim the shower head at where the stitches were with warm water, it helps it ease for a couple of hours, obviously it still hurts to sit down but its eases the pain and makes you feel fresh and clean "down there" You really ought to try it. It worked wonders for me . xxx
- Keep using your rinse bottle afterwards and you might even try to use it at the same time your urinating to help relive the pain. Also, yes use the tucks pads, they do work wonders!!! I got some typr of spray in a can from the hospitial with both my babies..itS kinda like a numbing spray, it works for minor burns and cuts. I LOVED it, it worked wonders. If you doc says it looks good then it probably is, just take a little more TLC with it. Good luck and congrats on the baby! ADD: Yep, its called Dermoplast!!!
