Last week, I got 4 stitches+3 injections to numb hand. Now ,I cant extend my finger-burning, tearing feeling?
They gave 3 shots to numb my hand . One of the shots felt like it hit a nerve and I felt it shoot down my arm. At the base of the finger that got cut-when I touch it or when I try to extend the finger, I feel burning and like somethings about to tear. I'm going back in 2 days but does anyone have any ideas about this?-its been 7 days since I had this done.

- did you see a hand specialist? if not you need to! If you saw a primary Dr ask to be referred to a specialist.
- It sounds like normal sensations caused by stitches. They didn't instruct you to use your finger..bending and stretching? It sounds like you've been favoring your finger, but I'm not a doctor. I just know that when I've had stitches, if I didn't pretend they weren't there and use whatever I had stitched, it would end up feeling like my skin was ripping off after a few days. You have your appointment in two days; but if you suspect infection, it is important to get to the doctor sooner. I hope your injury feels a lot better soon!
