Stitches

How do I take care of my stiches?

I just got stitches on my upper lip. How do I take care of them? Can I put water on them or should I keep water off until I get them taken out. Also should I put antibiotic gel on them? Any ideas or tips would be appreciated. Thanks and they hurt. :( I just got them last night.

1. First of all Strawberry Fields may I say how sorry I am to here of your painful discomfort. I think any Injury to the lips must be very sore. They are a tender part of the body. I am not qualified at all to advice you medically,although I would be Inclined to believe the antibiotic gel should relieve some of the pain. I also think keeping them dry might? be good.
