How long does it take stitches to heal?

I cut myself on a piece of glass yesterday and got stitches on two fingers (middle and ring). I went to the doctor and got 4 stitches on each finger. I really wanna get back to playing basketball and I want to know how long it will take them to heal.

1. Stitches don't heal, the cut does and can take about a week depending on the extent of the injury. Forget the basketball unless you want a return trip to the ER to fix your ripped out stitches!
2. prolly 7-10 days just try to be patient waiting sux though
