Stitches

does anyone know how I can go about patent a new crochet stitch? Took me 10 years but finally got it.?

I have been crocheting for over 50 years and have been practicing different stitches all those years and I finally created one that I have never seen before and would like more info .

1. I had an invention to aid in making the bullion/roll stitch. I investigated patenting it, but decided that it would not be financially viable. I got lots of info from the site below. I also suggest speaking to a patent attorney who specializes in crafts. Edited to make the link work.
