what are the different types of crochet stitches?

i only know single and double and i am looking to improve!! THANKS!!

1. Too hard to answer. Too many. Pick up a book on crochet. Or, piuck up a pattern that has a new stitch (treble, quad, picot).The directions for that stitch are always in the pattern.
2. There is also the chain stitch (which is what you usually use to start a project).
