- No, but you can file workmans comp claim.
- I swear you people waste so much time on looking for someone to blame other than yourself. YOU put yourself in that situation. If it wasn't light enough you should have complained before you got yourself injured. What IS it with you people and having to sue everyone???
- In the UK, possibly. It certainly sounds like it would be worth your while speaking to a solicitor about it. Some offer a free initial consultation and, if they think you have a case, may take it on on a 'no win, no fee' basis. They may also be able to arrange insurance to cover the other side's costs if you do lose. Worth enquiring anyway. Hope that helps
- This is a workers compensation issue and if they have provided you with the medical care necessary, paid you for the time missed due to your injury and the doctor released you to go back to work - your employer has fulfilled their obligation to you.
- First of all, file a worker's compensation claim - since you were injured on the job, that's the law. If the doctor says you need to be off of work for a certain amount of time, then they HAVE to pay you or worker's comp insurance will cover your lost time. Filing a lawsuit wouldn't be in your best interest - just take a look at the unemployment figures. If you file a suit, you will be joining those ranks with no guarantee you will win it. Think about it long and hard before jumping into that one..
- Nope. The workers comp system was established to provide payment of medical bills for careless workers who injury themselves on the job. It prevents silly lawsuits such as what your situation.
- It's possible to sue anyone for anything but you will lose this one because it was your own fault. If it was too dark you shouild have turned a light on.
