Looking for a crochet afghan pattern?

I've done quite a few crocheted ripple afghans, but have never seen anything quite like this one. It has a layered look to it. Does anyone know where I can get a pattern for this? http://s222.photobucket.com/albums/dd252/jackie121467/Crochet%20Patterns/?action=view&current=LayeredRippleAfghan.jpg The pattern doesn't have to be 'exact' but anything similar to this would be great.

  1. You will be able to get this exact Pattern in many colors, and there will be other Afghan patterns available as well from which you can choose.
  2. That is one beautiful afghan. I have never seen a layered afghan & the colors are my favorites. Maybe if you went to a fabric shop (Jo Ann Fabrics or a store like it) you could find the pattern. You could try Wal *Mart too, as they have a big sewing dept., which inlcudes yarn, patterns, etc. Look in your phonebook for a seamstress & she may be able to help you find the pattern. I'm going to look for that pattern as well & then find someone to make that afghan for me. Thanks for sharing the photo. Hope you find the pattern.
  3. What this looks like is between color changes, do a row of shell stitches using dc, then on top of that, a row of picots-sc in each stitch, then at the top of each shell, ch3 then slst again in the top of the shell. At the end of the rows of ruffle, slst up the side, and then continue your ripple pattern leaving the ruffle to hang free. Best of luck! Ivy
  4. I have seen this pattern but cannot remember where. Try Mary Maxim, Herschners , Annie's Attic, etc. Good Luck.
  5. Hi: I think they made the ripples first and weave it in or made one ripple than went a three or four stiches down from the top of the ripple and made another ripple using a different color and they repeat the process each time using a different color each depending on how many colors they wanted to have in the design, than repeat it over again with the starting color then when they were done, they turn the afghan over to get this effect . 6. I saw this pattern in the marymaxim catalogue . There is an American site also. Just click on afghans and then crochet afghan pic and it's right there.
  7. If you find the pattern please let me know as I would like to make one. Check my avitar.
  8. Here's what I can find: The afghan is called Rose Ripple Afghan and is a Herrschner's design. They do sell the kit in various colors. I have emailed them and they do not have the pattern available other than in the kit. It was published in their magazine back in 1988 in the Jan/Feb issue. I just purchased the magazine off of ebay for $2.50 including shipping so it might be on there now and then. The afghan is made with 2 ply yarn so this will be labor of love. Looks like there is one on ebay as we speak: http://search-desc.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&dfsp=1&from=R10&_trksid=m37&satitle=herrschner%27s+jan+feb+1988&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&fts=2&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=55416&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1
