  1. See here, for the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts in Malaysia: http://www.faca.unimas.my/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=67 Hong Kong Polytechnic also has a well known clothing design and fashion institute. Google that. A major or degree in this field could be called any number of names, depending on the focus of the course. There was at the high and college level, in the US, a course of study called Home Economics, which covers, cooking, sewing, managing household budgets, etc, but those types of programs are disappearing more and more. Do you mean are there degrees in arts and crafts, in which you get a fine art degree and could be an artist, designer, art teacher, art therapist, etc? Or are you interested in designing clothing or housewares for consumers to buy? One part of these courses of study is called fiber arts and textile design. Or do you actually mean something more like what we have in the US, the Crochet and Knitting Guild certificates, which you can earn as you build your skills in the fiber arts? They have chapters worldwide--maybe you could investigate that more on your own. See here: http://www.tkga.com/ And here: http://www.crochet.org/ Degrees at major universities worldwide which cover textiles, fabrics, knitting, crocheting, etc are often called: Clothing Design and Technology Textile Engineering Textile and Apparel Management Fashion and Design Fashion Merchandising Schools I know of : Parsons School of Design, NYC Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), NYC LaSalle College, Montreal, Canada The Manchester Metropolitan University, Clothing Design, Manchester, England Schools which offer arts degrees are so numerous worldwide I cannot list them all, but the terminal degree is usually an MFA, a master of fine arts, degree. Some schools have courses in pottery, crafts, art history, painting, art appreciation, but do not offer degrees in this field. Other schools are known more for the arts classes and degrees than anything else, such as one in my hometown called The Columbus College of Art and Design, or CCAD. Many large cities in the US have this type of school. Ask someone at a local university nearest you, if they have such a department there, or go online and check their course offerings. Good luck!
