- Take a break every hour, and flex your fingers during the break. .
- A butter lotion is really good. Fabric tends to dry your hands horribly. I am a quilter. I have used just plain bath and body lotion. Works great. A lot of people now are using those thin plastic gloves for working with threads and plastics. The form fitting ones. Try the lotions im sure it will work for you.
- hot parrafin bath is quite soothing to your hands after they've worked tediously all day. You can buy a little machine buit specifically for this at a bath and body store or spa like place, maybe even walmart? I work with my hands a lot and besides bengay and tigerbalm this is a great way to relax your hands!
- Aquarose, I wash my hands with hot soap and water before, in the midst of, and after stitching to keep my hands and fabric clean and to refresh my hands. I also take little breaks while I am cross stitching, and when I am sure I am done for quite a while I will rub hand lotion over my hands to ease up the tightness. I hope this helped and let me know if there is anything else I can help you with in your cross stitching endeavors. Tajinaz36
