I would like to learn to crochet, could someone tell me what sites or books that can help me?

I would like to crochet and afghan, but they always look crooked. What is that from?

1. That happens because you aren't crocheting uniform stitches. Some are tighter than others.
2. http://www.anniesattic.com has some good tutorials. So does http://www.learntocrochet.com Uniformity will come with practice. Have patience, and make sure you are working with a steady tension. Don't hold your yarn too loose or too tight. This will come with practice. You might also consider taking a class or two to get some feedback on your technique. Classes are offered at most Michael's or maybe contact a senior center to see of an elderly lady would be willing to help you for the cost of a little companionship... Good luck & have fun!
