- You can go to this site....it's pretty self explanatory. It'll get you started. www.learntoknit.com
- www.lionbrand.com
- How about http://crochet.about.com/library/blbeginners.htm ? Best of luck!
- I found interest when a neighbor of mine showed me how. Now, I'm teaching myself how to crochet! I've made a poncho and an earflap hat for my little girl and a cloche and shawl for myself. This site is actually pretty great! They even have short video clips of certain stitches. Good Luck!!
- Not only are there sites that will tell you, some even have videos to show you. I found with looking for help with knitting that no one site did it all - I looked at LOTS of sites and all together they balanced each others' strengths and weaknesses. I suggest you Google "learn to crochet" and then explore from there... However, many people find they can't just learn from reading - it really helps to have someone SHOW you some things, and help you when you get stuck. If you don't know anyone who crochets, that doesn't have to stop you. Any local yarn store (search yarn store, knitting store, etc.) will have certain times when you can come in just to work on your current projects. The workers and other customers are usually very friendly and happy to help a new person become comfortable. We like sharing what we know! :) If you don't have a local yarn store/specialty store, try Michael's or Hobby Lobby or whatever your local art/craft/hobby store is - they will know where you can find like-minded crafters. Good luck and have fun!
- Hit the library. Just ask any librarian. Look for a book called knitting and crocheting for dummies, it has a lot of good info in it. Go to a craft store, they have classes, but this will cost approximately 10-20 dollars per session. I learned by reading and just doing it. If I can do it, you can. Here are some sites. Use the first one, I love her patterns. Mary
- Check out this site! It has great, free videos! http://www.nexstitch.com/index.html
