Easy jewelry with everyday items?

My aunts birthday is coming up and I need some ideas or tutorials for making jewerly. I want it to be pretty, but unique. The thing is I don't have a lot of crafty stuff at my home. I don't want to have to go and get something. Here's some of the stuff I have: fabric and felt beads yarn perler beads glitter glue magazines I also have a few other things. I know how to sew and crochet. Thanks for the help!! I really appreciate all the input!

  1. Umm you could cover the beads in felt and make a soft bracelet? that would be unique... lol umm or you could make a jewelery box instead if you have an old container you can cover it with the felt then glue magazine pictures to it like a collage, put beads and decorate it to her tastes. the you could sew her a felt bag to put the bracelet in and decorate it. lol Hope that helped a little bit. ps Happy birthday to your Aunt.
  2. here are some suggestions.. sorry if they arent good. im a 12 year old jewelry designer so i have thousand of dollars in just beads and tools, not used to not getting the right stuff for jewelry but here is what i would do if i was limited like you... you can make felt beads like ones online just string the beads you have right now decorate some beads with yarn or roll them into tiny yarn balls for beads use perler beads as spacers and the other ideas to make jewelry use colorful magazine pictures and glitter glue to make pretty paper beads and string them with the perler beads and beads that you already have. my favorite idea is the paper bead one with the magazines... hope this helps
  3. Pick out your spiffiest yarn and crochet a bracelet or necklace. While you're stitching, thread the occasional bead onto the piece. Make sure the beads are relatively nice and either match or contrast with the yarn color. You could probably even crochet a catch--have a loop on one end, and then some sort of ball like thing on the other. If you do it right, it'll be quite snazzy.
  4. Visit website with many design like www.mybeadpoint.com , replace the beads with all material you have at home. From Fabric, you can make it as a Thread!.....
  5. Try cutting shaps from paper, newspaper, magazines, gift wrap, ironing them between Pellon vinyl, cut them out, punch holes, finish holes with scrapbook eyelets, and create wire-wrapped loop dangles from them!
