Describe the tackiest wedding gown you have ever seen?
I don't necessarily mean one you saw in real life. If you saw it in a magazine or on the web, that counts too. A link would be great too! Here's my answer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ELEGANT-Wedding-Dress-Mothers-Dress-Crochet-Patterns_W0QQitemZ140221901909QQihZ004QQcategoryZ11798QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Personally, I can't imagine any woman looking at this and wanting someone to make that for her. I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

- Well, I have never seen a tacky wedding gown, or dress. Im one of those who thinks that every bride is beautiful, and yes, I cry at all weddings.
- Anything with a pickup skirt. (sorry, for those who chose one, but this is an opinion!) http://www.bridalonlinestore.com/store/Alecia.asp Or this one - http://www.bridalonlinestore.com/store/Vegas.asp
- Here's one that looks like a mattress: http://uglyweddingdress.files.wordpress.com/2006/10/st-pucchi-001.PNG Here's one for the patriotic: http://tristero.blogspot.com/Pictures/somethingspecial1.jpg Enjoy.
- A few years ago, there was an email circulating with multiple pics from this entire wedding, including the rest of the wedding party. I feel a little guilty making fun, because these people look as if they are having a really good time in all of the photos. I assume they don't have much money & must have been mortified knowing there wedding day was a big internet joke http://boortz.com/images/funny/redneck_pics_wedding.jpg These people, on the other hand also had their wedding photos circulating via email, and I get the impression they are well aware of how tacky their wedding is... and don't care :) http://jeffersonian.files.wordpress.com/2007/01/redneck-wedding.jpg EDIT: found some more from the first wedding: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nashvillemike/145193695/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/nashvillemike/145193797/in/photostream/
- Ugh! on the crochet! I saw a bride wear a red dress on her wedding day on Bridezillas. It looked tacky because she was tacky. She lived in a mobile home (the one with wheels!) and picked a fight with another girl during her bacherette party.
- that dress is not tacky it is hideous, lol. I once went to a site out of curiosity to check out these "fantasy" wedding gowns and O M G they were so ridiculous, I mean r u kidding me that grown ass women would want to walk down the isle looking all cartoonish, what is wrong with some people?
- ok the ugliest wedding dress I've ever seen was by far one from the mid-80's the bride was tiny - about 5'1" her dress was layers of lace, layered kind of like shingles on a roof. The train was so long that she had to have train bearers. It wasn't a very pretty dress but with her being so tiny it totally overpowered her. It was a very expensive dress but looked cheap! I wish I had a picture of it to share.
- Here's a few that are a bit different. I don't want to say tacky because everyone has their own taste...this is just my opinion: http://www.flickr.com/photos/45367368@N00/465151335/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/45367368@N00/465151329/ http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2006/11/wedding3_452x700.jpg
- I'm not a fan of anything from the 80's with the sleeves and shoulder pads. Not my thing! I don't know about "tacky". What's tacky to one person may seem really nice to someone else. You just never know. Formal that dress is not! So for a formal wedding maybe "tacky" would fit the bill. I am like completely opposite on the whole tacky thing. I think there is such a thing as TOO formal. Like the girl who may go into the book of world records for having the heaviest dress ever worn. http://www.wedaholic.com/archives/could_this_be_the_worlds_heaviest_wedding_dress.php The girl had to be CARRIED down the isle and then had to sit through her whole reception! Why would anyone want to do that? Also the girl who's husband to be was a gourmet pastry chef and he made her wedding gown completely out of edible deserts. I thought that was beyond weird! http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2003302229_weddingcake13.html Even the bouquet was made from cakes! How odd... esp. sense it seems like a summer wedding. You would think the bugs would have been having a field day following her around. Although "anything goes" is the name of the game in weddings anymore and I do love to see original things done that's taking it a little too far in my opinion. Cool question though!
- I wish I had a pic of the last wedding I attended. She wore a wedding gown someone she knew made. Need I say more? It was a plain straight white dress with a lace over it. The white ribbon cuffed her shoulders with puffy shear lace connecting it to the ribbon wrist. The sleeves where uneven and did not fit properly. It also had a collar made out of the same white ribbon with weird broaches that didn’t go with the rest of the dress. In 5 words “old fashioned tacky church dress”
- The last link Lydia gave is the tackiest I ever seen O_O Until then it was the dress of one of my cousins. It looked so tacky and cheap (the lace looked like plastic and it was everywhere in the dress). Her mother, my aunt, grabbed me by the arm on our way to the church and told me in a sad voice: " My daughter choose such an horrible dress!!! But she is happy with it and that's what counts!" I was relieved because it was not only me thinking that! No one mentioned it to the bride! Or if someone did she didn't care because she had a radiant smile all day.
- I don't care how smokin' hot your body is, this dress doesn't belong in any wedding: http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_3959314
- The one that you posted isn't that bad... check this one out http://www.diamondvues.com/wedding%20dress%20for%20pregnant%20bride.jpg
- That's one's not half as ugly as most of the ones that I see modeled on the runway! It doesn't help that those girls look so sullen and emaciated, either. I'm a little disturbed by this trend of "camouflage" weddings. I'm all for supporting your military guy, but isn't he probably a little sick of camouflage? And why would they think it looks good on a wedding dress? Behold... http://www.laceandpromises.com/Store/tabid/60/ProductID/58/List/0/Default.aspx
- HEHE... FUNNY QUESTION!
- I didn't know how to put this dress into words, so here's the link: http://www.tekaydesigns.com/sankofa/pages/dsc0121a.htm
- I can't find a picture of it, but there is this dress out there designed by Yves St. Laurent, I think, and it has a hood, and it looks like a penis! I kid you not... Someone on theknot.com had it in their signature-it was hilarious!
- Anything w/ poofy shoulders/sleeves from the '80s.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and has their own taste, BUT you're lying if you say you've never seen a tacky wedding dress. I mean, come on... http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_6454722 http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_1566838
- it is not my cup of tea. Personally, the fru fru dresses that are huge and llok like a trowback from cinderella are tacky -- as well as dresses with hideously long trains. Oh and anything from the 80's .. hehe nice shoulder pads!
- Everyone is right, different people have a different view on tacky. Some things are just ugly and not tacky. lol now this is TACKY http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_5230104 http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_11057518 http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_5950513 And here is the "Condom" dress someone mentioned? http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/uglydress_1996_1267314
- I think there is ugly and there is tacky... We find things to our liking and some that are not - if we don't like it we find it ugly. However there are some dresses that go into the tacky category... for me this would include anything that has a split in the skirt to 'who knows where'! and anything that is see-through, as well as anything that is too low at the front or back. That is my idea of tacky! Otherwise I may find it ugly, but it is not offensive!
- I agree with Alexa. The second dress posted by Lydia is tacky-tacky-tacky. That is something worn by a hooker on the street-corner, not a worman marrying the man she loves.
