Stitches

Is it normal for my hand to be sore and weak after stitches?

I recently fell out of my raft into shallow water. I landed awkwardly on my left hand and ( this is kind of gross so fair warning ) spread two of my fingers so far apart it tore the skin in between. Now, two weeks later, I removed the stitches and bandages and my hand/fingers are weak. Is this normal or could I have possibly done some internal damage?

1. Normal. You had trauma in your hand. It could take a couple months to get the strength back. Favor it and use your other hand as much as you can.
