Stitches

Is it possible for the stitches (meltable) to dissolve one day after having 2 teeth extracted?

I just had 2 teeth extracted yesterday around 11:45 and today I noticed after I had eaten something that the stitches have already melted away. Is this normal or should I contact my dentist and go back for a followup. I do not feel a hole there or see one anymore. For XO - It didn't really hurt. The only thing that you feel is a little pressure. If your dentist knows what he is doing then you'll be fine. Just tell him your concerns and he will listen to you. More than likely they will numb you up with some numbing gell and then they will shoot you up with some novacane (sp). You'll be fine. If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me! 1. I don't know but can u tell me, how bad is it getting ur teeth extracted? Does it hurt a lot? i have to get it done tommarow morning. =[
2. yes it is possible. I've had a total of 15 teeth extracted that needed stiches and i have had some dissolve in hours. It just means that it healed enough
