Stitches - is it ok to leave stitches in a few days later then when doc wanted to remove them?

is it ok to leave stitches in a few days later then when doc wanted to remove them?

i was supposed to get stitches removed today but i missed appointment and rescheduled for 4 days later. is this ok?

dont wait to long or the skin will close around them and they will have to get them cut out and have more stitches happend to me take the out your self just use tweezers and toenail clippers need 2 people mabey!!!
It will be ok. I had stitches in my hand once and I was supposed to go get them out, but I waited about a week and did it myself and they were hard to get out. A piece of one of the stitches stuck in my hand where it remains today. I think as long as it's not a week or more you should be fine.
You will be ok. They do not want skin growing over them because it is harder to remove them then.
if it was not ok they would have told you that but its nothings wrong with calling them and asking them that just in case she did not know what you were getting done.
It shouldn't hurt anything. But the chance of you getting a "rail road scar" are higher the longer you leave them in
