what the hey does " A stitch in time saves nine" mean?
Public Comments
- It means fix the problem before it gets bigger and you have to work harder to fix it.
- A stitch now prevents a big tear.
- When you begin to tear a seam in your clothes if you stitch it right away you have only a small tear to stitch. It means "Take care of the problem now, before it becomes a bigger problem".
- You need to be in the "proper care for clothing" thread.
- If you have a small rip in one of your clothes, then repairing it with a few "Stitches" (sewing it closed) BEFOR it catches a corner or something and that corner tears it Big Time---well, it save you Nine More Stitches!
- It means fix something as soon as you see that there is a problem, or it will get worse.
- it is better to spend a little time to deal with problems or act right now than wait. If you wait until late, things will get worse, and it will take much longer to deal with them.
- It means prevention is better than a cure.... one small thing done correctly at the right time, will prevent 'nine times' (figuratively) the work to fix after the mistake gets worse. Take care, God bless
- http://www.invasivecardiology.com/article/68 Go to this site. It explains it pretty well. It is a medical term used for articular surgery.
- It is similar to "a bran muffin a day keeps constipation at bay." This is less of an answer, and more of a "what's up" from your bran buddy.
- Sort of along the same lines spiritually as "Obedience is better than sacrifice." :))
- It means I better learn to sew faster, or stop being so careless. I have always had to fight the "ready, fire, aim," disorder. {{{Sistah}}}
