- ASK THIS QUESTION IN DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- i found a lot of christmas cross stitch in all different sizes for 99p at my local garden centre. a lot of them have craft areas and i found the smallest ones were perfect for christmas cards and at 99p were cheap enough to buy a few. also then you have the patterns to keep for next year and there is often enough cotton in them for more than one so if you buy extra aida you can make a few
- michaels has quite the selection, as does joann's fabrics. you can find both online or go to their stores
- Mary with child.
- With Xmas coming up, you don't want CROSS stitch designs you want HAPPY stitch designs! Ho Ho Ho!
- Can you design your own, if you had the pics to start with all you'd have to do is transfer the design to a grid. Small pics aren't as much hassle as big ones! I look for ideas from wrapping paper, you know how this time of year you get all those catalogues through the door? Great source of ideas if you;re strapped for time! And have you tried applique? I use Bondaweb or dabs of cheap hemming web from the Pound shop to hold everything in place, and whack it through the sewing machine, then add some embroidery for embellishment. It takes much less time, you can use scrap fabrics, and the results look surprisingly good. The Works have blank cards in at the moment...!
- you can get programs for PC to design your own. I did find one online last year that gave free cross stitch designs but i can't remember its name. good luck
