  1. those stitches are made of cat gut, which means they are made to dissolve in your mouth, but most of the time you will just brush them out, or they will just fall out. Oh, I never heard of that, thats strange. N.E ways that doesn't hurt at all.
  2. its less painfull then getting your wisdom teeth pulled no anesthesia you hardly notice it 10 mins or less
  3. Like 2Sweet said the stitches they use are meant to dissolve and the time it takes can vary from five days or so to around two weeks depending on how often you brush and what you eat. I know the most annoying part when I had my wisdom teeth removed was the fact that when stiches started to dissolve you could feel them hanging in your mouth and I pulled most of mine out and they didn't hurt. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that tho and just ask your dentist if they are bugging you.
  4. Oh, I love these replies that don't know anything. Depending on the extent of surgery, sometimes dentists use silk sutures and these must be removed. It's nothing to worry about at all. Usually, a dental assistant does it as it's very uncomplicated and only takes a couple of minutes. You will not be numbed up and more than likely will not feel much of anything.
