removing nylon stitches from a wound?
ok i got cut by a glass on my foot at the bottom by the pinky finger. i had 20 stitches and i even tore my tendon on my pinky and the doctor tied the tendon back up. so i was just wondering will it hurt when they remove stitches from my foot? also how long will it take before i will be able to walk after the stitches are removed?

- No it wont hurt and you should be able to walk on it right away- the wound is healed thats why they are taking out the stitches
- I don't think it will hurt as bad as it did when they put them in and you can walk right away
- Taking stitches out does not hurt. I've always taken them out myself (I'm pretty accident prone and participate in MMA so I get cuts all over). You may feel a slight pulling sensation but as long as the wound has fully healed, it will not hurt. Good Luck !
- Ha, yeah it will hurt because I had stitches on my foot as well. And yeah you can walk on it right away but it'll be sore.
- it will definitely hurt... I'm telling you because 2 months ago my finger got cut by a knife and they gave my only five stiches... But, when they took them off it hurt a little....I bled a little too...
- At worst it will feel like mosquito bites...but it probably won't feel like that at all. I have had stiches several times. The more crusted over the stiches are the worse it will be. I'm not certain how long it will be before you can walk on your foot again being that you tore your tendon. Your doctor will have to answer that for you. He or she will probably will tell you to go ahead and start excercising it or doing streches with it at least. Take care!! Hope you get to walk soon!!
- Removing stitches don't hurt unless the wound did heal well or too well (both unusual cases). You should be able to walk approximately 10 days after getting the stitches done depending on the tendon. The tendon will be the longest thing to heal. Depending on what kind of tear you had, it can take 2 to 8 weeks to heal.
