Counted Cross Stitch design software?

Want good advice on the best counted cross stitch design software to get. Price moderate. Do not need photo imaging capability. Want to design samplers. Thanks.

1. Months ago I saw some when doing a Google search. There is also an online generator where you upload pictures and it creates a pdf file with the cross stitch design, thread color and all. Just use your subject in a search.
2. Pattern Maker is good. They have different versions depending on your needs. Their web site is hobbyware.com Check them out, and I hope this helps

Some of the functions may not work but at least you can see if the programs might work for you. http://www.easygrapher.com/EGH5.htm I went with this software for designing samplers. I found the others did not have as many specialty stitches that I liked. NOT CHEAP though. I've enjoyed it throughly though and used it many times. Customer Service was excellent.
