So how do you make yourself stop buying clothes? I had said I was not going to buy anymore ever again....how?
So today I went against what I had previously said I would not do. I went and bought some clothing at Old Navy, mostly clearance stuff and spent about 25 dollars. I had sworn though that I would never buy a stitch of clothing again that I would wear my clothing until it had so many holes in it that the slighest rub would cause it rip apart.

- will power. or just stop going to clothing stores, think of other stuff.
- Tear your credit and debit card up, and take out a budgeted amount of cash every paycheck. Just take out enough to cover your expenses (gas, food etc..) After that, put all of the extra money in a savings account that is hard to get to (like at another bank that you dont normally bank at.) You will either do really well and not buy clothes, or spend all of your food money on clothes, and get skinnier. Its a win win (if you want to be skinnier that is.)
- Unfortunately... i share this addiction. :( It wont stop till youre literally broke. hahah but until then, keep yourself occupied by doing other things besides shopping.
- you can't stop buying clothes. you need them. just limit yourself to certain things.
- Don't go to any shop, and don't go window shopping ether, because you will end up buying something. There is one thing though, why not go shopping, it on CLEARANCE!! You won't have to spend twice as much later on, plan ahead!
- You have to stop, dont look. When you do, say do i really need this???? If you say yes, put it down, walk away. Remember you promised you wouldn't and you have bills to pay... :)
- Only take enough money for a dire emergency. Don't take your credit or debit cards with you. Avoid clothing stores. Especially clearance-- you are more likely to buy clothes if they are on sale, let's be honest! Don't window shop online, either. Look through your closet... find things you never wear. Try them on. Is there anything you can do with these items? Perhaps that old shirt would look cool again layered under a sweater or a vest; those old jeans can become cut-off shorts or even a skirt if you are skilled enough! You might also want to avoid fashion blogs if you read them... just try really hard. Remember, leaving the money home is KEY.
