All about free cross stitch pattern for my friend! (again)?

And my friend's birthday is coming, so im planning to make one for her. Do you know where can I get alllll the friendship or any beautiful patterns free? Because a lot of websites said its free but then have to pay to download. I need coloourful qoutations or friendship sayings, or anything like. u can email.Need it as soon as possible... thank you so much for your help... PS: This is the last year of our high school. We will be separated by distance next year she is my best friend. wanna give her sumthing special this year

1. best bet is library, they have lots and lots of books on cross stitch and you can usually copy the pages you want and not even check the book out if you dont want to, plus most of them have the magazines for cross stitch back in the periodicals.
2. Hunt up or invent a saying for the embroidery. Draw your own layout and reduce the design to a JPG smaller than 1 Meg. Decide how many stitches high you want the design to be. Decide how many colors you want to use (up to 256, I recommend 1-8 for a beginner). Go to the link listed and follow the directions. Download the pages individually. Purchase fabric and floss (eye-ball colors from the Key you've printed out). Get stitching and rinse and press it before framing.
3. http://allcrafts.net/index.htm Try this website, they have all kinds of interesting patterns that ARE free. No strings attached, although you might have to register, but it is totally worth it. Like I said everything on this site is free. Another thing is widen your search to plastic canvans patterns, which also can then be stitiched onto aida material. I have done that several times, just use your own colors that are close to the color of the yarn color or else just totally make it your own by using colors of your choosing.
