2. http://artofstitching.com has some nice ones and take a look at their top cross stitch sites. The link is on their home page. (rectangular button on top left) Each site listed there has at least 4 free patterns a month. Take a look; it's well worth the time.

4. If nothing online takes your fancy, check your local library. I've nearly finished a pattern that I scanned out of a library book.
