Looking for a cross stitch alphabet pattern?
I am looking for an alphabet pattern that would look like wood planks nailed together to make the letters. I want to make a rustic type welcome sign for a friend, and thought this would be a cute way to spell out the word. If anyone knows of such a thing, or a book that I would find it in, please let me know. Otherwise, I will start trying to design it myself (lol) I am sure I could do it, but it would be EASIER with a pattern! Thanks I am not looking for hints on where to look, I have looked online and so far have not found anything like this. I am ASKING that if someone KNOWS of such a pattern, where I can find it, or get a book, etc. Thanks

- You should be able find it like in walmart or online
- you should visit your local library. they have many books on cross st . if you find what you are looking for ,you could scan it . good luck. I just googled cross stitch alphabet and there is a site with free patterns. I hope the one you are looking for is there.

I couldn't find any cross stitch patterns with that kind of alphabet, but I'll tell you what I once did. I had some fancy calligraphy letters, and I printed them on the paper that is lined with squares. (Can't think of what it's called.) Or you could run off some paper from a pattern book. I've seen blank sheets in books for your own designs. With a little fooling around, you can type out what you want on your computer and print it on your squared paper. This would at least give you an idea of what it would look like stitched. If you have a cross stitch patterner, you can type out the text using and installed font on your computer. You could try that. I hope this helps you.
