Where can I find free tiny cross stitch patterns for ornaments and other holidy motifs?

I am just looking for really small ones because I never finish the bigger ones.

  8. I would recommend first checking out your local library for pattern books - they usually have more complete designs than you'll be able to find online. Also, you local needlework shop is a good place to find designs - many designers will put out an ornament or two for free or at a very low cost as either a thank you to their fans or as a way of introducing more stitcher to their designs. You can also find quite a few ornament books at either your local craft store or needlework shop, or on eBay. I've recently purchased a few Christmas leaflets from different sellers for about $1-2 a book. If you want to get patterns online, here are 10 "Quick and Easy" Ornament motifs: http://crossstitch.about.com/od/specialoccasions/tp/easychristmas.htm This is the Chart Shop's free motifs: http://tinyurl.com/odh6 Mostly angels, and a few ornaments: http://www.tiag.com/otherproducts/xmasangels.html Quite a few freebies here: http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/x-stitch/holiday-cross.html http://www.dawnsxstitch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/freechristmas.htm JOY Angels: http://www.aokcorral.com/projects/how2nov2005.htm You'll want to consider how you will finish the ornament before you start stitching so you can plan extra fabric allowance depending on the technique you want to use. Here are a few sites that have good finishing techniques: http://www.cyberstitchers.com/Resources/FinishingTechniques/FilledOrnament.asp http://www.cyberstitchers.com/Resources/FinishingTechniques/MiniBannerOrnament.asp http://www.tkdchick.com/ornamentinstructions.html I love how this one was done - she took a wooden embrodiery hoop and wrapped the outside hoop in ribbon, then used the hoop to make the rest of the ornament: http://www.bradandkris.com/kriscrafts/gallery/2004/Images/DogOrnamentFinished.jpg
