Is there a "market" for cross stitch grid?

I saw a couple people use a 'light blue" marker to grid on canvas so it's easier to stitch a big patters. Is there something like that exists or shoudl i use something else to create a grid?

  1. Yes, there's a product called the Wonder Marker. It's blue ink that washes out with cold water.
  2. The cloth is called Aida cloth. This cloth has in the boxes already.
  3. If you are talking about an available grid to design your own patterns, there is a product out there. It is clear acetate with blue lines on it in a grid pattern. You can fill in the boxes with marking pens to create your pattern. Then all you have to do is wipe it off to create the next one. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the product but I've seen it at Michaels and JoAnns. You could also make your own grid in photoshop and use it as a transparent layer on your design. Then just print it. I've done this and it works quite well. It is very time consuming to make the grid though. Just be sure that you make it as a transparent layer. Keep it in a separate file. When you put your image in the layer under it you can fill in each square with the appropriate color or symbol and do a "save as" so you don't loose the original. Once you get the pattern just the way you want it, you can print in onto paper to use as a guide. Good luck. I hope I helped a bit.
