What to do with wood paneling in breakfast nook? I am in the process of trying to figure out my kitchen and breakfast nook remodel for my home. I have decided on a French Country look for the kitchen.....based upon some great Waverly sunflower fabric.....with a cornflower blue background.....and hints of greens and reds with the of course yellow sunflowers........i am thinking of painting the kitchen walls a buttery yellow.....and the cabinets possibly a sand or blue color.......i have run into a dilemma with my attached breakfast nook.........the room is wall to wall wood paneling.....not the cheap stuff.......but still wood paneling.....any suggestions as to colors i should use....and also how to handle the wood paneling.......paint it, pickle it, or leave it? thanks for the help! :-)

Can I dye a cotten fabric that has been treated with scotchgard? I want to dye a slip cover for a couch. It has been treated with scotch guard. There is some printing on the inside that says it is 100% cotton "Greenfield collection exclusively by Waverly" Looks like expensive stuff. But, too old fashion for us. It currently has a pattern floral pattern of baby blues, baby pink, baby green on vanilla ice cream. We want to dye it a rich solid red. Can anyone recommend how to do it and what kind of dye to use. How to prepare the fabric for the dye also. Thanks

Decorating ideas for french country style kitchen.? Help! My living room & kitchen are side by side. Living room is painted 'gambol gold' (a dark golden yellow) & I have a large red couch & rug w/ Waverly red & gold toile fabric accents and curtains. The bathroom adjacent to the living room entryway is off of the kitchen. It is wallpapered in a red & gold toile paper w/ white accents & cabinetry. The kitchen has white farmhouse cabinets, black granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen also has a large bay window. I have the Le Rooster collection dishes, serving plates, etc. These are all multi colored dishes w/ rust red, green, gold, black, etc. http://www.reflectionsgallery.us/WebPages/LeRooster.htm Currently I have a few of the plates hanging on the wall for decoration. Here is my question (finally!).......What color would look best for the kitchen walls? How to attach fabric to your wall without damaging it? More details listed? Well I'm getting a fur fabric (like if you have seen or heard of in Wizards of Waverly Place). And I want to place it up as as feature wall. I can't use wallpaper, and I can't nail it to the wall (it is a plastered wall). Do you have any strategies that I can use to attach it to my wall without causing damage or what will cause the smallest amount of damage :)

Furry wall? My daughter wants a furry wall like the girl in wizards of waverly place (the disney show). The only thing I can think of is to buy several yards of furry fabric from a fabric store and attach it to the wall. Now- how can I attach it? I'm thinking staple gun? Fabric for Lockers? People keep telling me i should put fabric in my locker. I kept thinking of the kind that Alez has on Wizards of Waverly Place but i dont know where to get it. I need help with positioning striped fabric on pattern? I have a window valance pattern and bought striped fabric. Is striped fabric considered "all over or non-obvious print" or is it considered "obvious or one-way prints"? I want to make sure I am positioning the pattern correctly on the striped fabric when I cut it. PINK FUZZY WALLPAPER!? I have an obsession with the color pink!(: I am moving to a new house and I really want my new room to describe me. On Disney Channel the show, Wizards of Waverly Place, Alex Russo (Selena Gomez) has pink fuzzy wallpaper! Ever since i have seen it, ive had my heart set on it! I think that it would tie my room together. It is my mission to find this! Any ideas on where to purchase this? Maybe at a Home Depot or Lowes.
