What else can I do with cross stitch patterns? I adore Raymond Briggs The Snowman and have a book of cross stitch patterns based on the film - but I am bored of cross stitch! Can I use the patterns to make a latch hook rug or would it not work because you wouldn't be able to see the details? Is there any other crafts which I could use the patterns with? Thanks!

How to keep active cross stitch patterns neat? I am interested to hear how all cross stitchers out there keep their patterns neat whilst working on them? I am forever having to fold my patterns because they are large and this results in some of the symbols wearingoff with use. How do you get around this? What features do you look for when shopping for cross stitch patterns? Which ones are easiest to read? As a point of clarification...I prefer counted cross stitch, not printed cross stitch. I just find some patterns are easier to read than others. For example, patterns that are in four color are sometimes difficult to read because the colors look too similar. Patterns in black and white are easier because there is more distinction between colors. What is your opinion?
