I had a minor surgery on my leg about a week ago, and ive been wondering how long do these stitches need to disintegrate since i removed my bandages a few days ago. Why do clothing makers stitch the back pocket together so I can't use it? The back pockets on my pants are stitched together and I don't know why. I put a finger in there between the strings tying the pocket together to make sure it was a real pocket and not a decoration pocket...it doesn't make sense why they would make a pocket and then restrict its use. How do I get Neosporin out of clothing? I had some minor surgery and had to keep bandaids and neosporin on for 2 weeks until the stitches came out. It left "oil" stains on a few of my favorite cotton shirts and I can't get it out. It just looks like a wet spot but it's stained. :( I have tried Spray and Wash. I have tried just letting detergent set on them. I have soaked them for days. And I even tried Spor Shot Carpet Cleaner. Nothing will take the spot out. Anyone have the answer? Well, even with all your great advice... "I fought the stain and the stain won." Grrrrrrrr. My advice to you... is not to use neosporin that bleeds through bandaids onto you favorite cotton shirt! And... not to worry... I'm fine. The stitches were just for 3 little mole removals that concerned my doc. He was right, and they were bad, but he got everything so I'm fine! Does anyone know how to get Mildew out of clothing? The jacket is 75% Cotton and 25%polyester. It is white with dark blue stitching, a dark blue nike swoosh and a dark blue M. The tag says do not bleach, warm water (140C) and do not dry clean, I do not know what else to try that will not ruin the jacket, i have tried spray and wash and a bleach stick on the main white areas and have got nothing. what adhesive works on clothing? i need to glue beading,sequins and ribbon to a shirt, the look i want wont look good if i hand stitch everything. the employees at Joanns here in town have NO CLUE as to helping people with arts and crafts questions. what i want is an adhesive that is permanant. i dont want it to wash out. any suggestions? the glue i have used to test is Aleene's original tacky glue, and it does NOT work. any suggestions???
Weird question -- how important is it to know what size an article of baby clothing is? I -- pregnant for the first time -- have a few nice articles of baby clothing, and am a bit surprised to notice that even the very nice stuff has large, itchy-looking tags. Given how irritable _I_ get over an itchy tag, those are getting snipped right out. But. How useful is it to know the size of baby clothes? Will it be worth my time to do what I was thinking of, viz: using some coloured thread to stitch in a little code so I know the size? Or can you eventually pretty much gauge the size by just looking? Poor Kids In India? Sewing Clothing? I have recently read an article in this one magazine and it said that they want to stop child labor in India. They say they are also sewing clothing for designer brands like Gap. They said that Gap was forced to withdraw a clothing chain of a line of embroidered blouses that were stitched by the children. I do not want to know if that is true or not because I know it is. They also say that they charge like $29.95 for shirts here and the nickel goes to the poor children here. If I put texture glue on the back of my cross stitch will it stop it from coming undone if i trim it close? I use texture glue to stick cross stitch motifs onto clothing ie patching jeans. I usually stick a square of the material used for the motif on the jeans. I wonder if i use the glue directly onto the back of the motif only, then will i be able then to cut out the motif really close without it coming undone. I want it so that there is no excess material around the motif, but don't want my work coming undone. If this is unlikely to work, what will?

So how do you make yourself stop buying clothes? I had said I was not going to buy anymore ever again....how? So today I went against what I had previously said I would not do. Clothing brand which also makes a perfume? Hi All, I'm trying to find this perfume that my boyfriend mentioned that he loves the smell of. I can not remember the name of it to save my life! He mentioned it when I was a little drunk, and all I remember is the brand name began with an 'S'. It seemed like quite a obscure brand (not your well known Versace, Gucci, Diesel etc) - I'd never heard of it before when he mentioned it - which i guess is why i can't remember it. He said they make jeans, and t-shirts (he had a t-shirt with the brand name stitched on the sleeve), clothes etc, but brought out a perfume. He's liked it for years, so it's not a new perfume.
