Can I make pocket money by crocheting? I used to crochet once in awhile, and it was a lot of fun. I'm 16 and have a lot of free time. I would love to make some pocket cash. My grandma told me that she will teach me how to crochet different patterns, and knit. My aunt told me that she could teach me how to sew. If I like it, I'll probably ask for my own sewing machine for Christmas. I was thinking that I could crochet baby blankets and things like that. Then in good weather set up a stand outside. Do you think that it would be a waste of money and time? Can I actually make some pocket money by doing this?
Easy crochet stitches? I'm not sure what level of 'expertise' I could give my crocheting skills but I can say I at least have the basic stitches down (sc,hdc,dc...). I've made scarves, beanies, a pair of wristwarmers...and just recently my first baby blanket. Can some of you crochet guru's suggest some new stitches for me to try out, particularly for beginning and intermediate learner's using the basic stitches? Most of the things that I've made (all of them, now that I think about it) were made without a pattern...they turned up fine by chance and virtue of my hoping they would...and the very occasional unraveling. Also, I'd like to expand my horizons as far as making new things. Can you share a site or two you know of with free easy patterns available? I really would like to try making a capelet, and maybe a shawl too. I'd appreciate any kind of help =)
