Knitting Needles? I have an American knitting pattern that needs size 19mm needles. I'm not having any luck finding needles this size. Anyone know where I could get these? Just looked at the pattern again and its circular needles. The pattern's from a new book out called Twinkle's big city knits

Circular knitting needles - how to neaten up the cable? I've been knitting on circular needles for a few years, mainly store-bought ones, but I recently brought back my grandmother's old equipment, including a couple dozen circulars. How do I get rid of the overly long tail inbetween my knitting needles when I cast on? Pretty self-explainitory. When I cast on and start knitting that row, I get this long tail between the needles that gets bigger and bigger, and it gets so long on hats and stuff that it gets all knotted up. Why does the paint only wear off of one of my knitting needles? I have several pairs of metal knitting needles that are starting to look a bit worn. The paint is wearing off the ends, but it only seems to happen on one needle. As far as I can tell I use both needles equally so I cannot figure out why the paint only wears off on one needle. Will it make a big difference to use slightly bigger or smaller knitting needles? I was in the midst of knitting a doll using 3.25mm DPNs. I accidentally broke two of the needles, leaving me with only three in that size. The local shop doesn't stock 3.25mm, only 3mm or 3.5mm. I'm in the middle of knitting one of the legs of the doll. I dreamed about holding knitting needles in my hands or feet in order to drive my car. What does this mean? I was driving at dusk. I was either holding one knitting needle between my feet or holding one in each hand. There was no wool though and I wasn't trying to knit. Weird! Any ideas?

Is there a way to make my plastic knitting needles less slippery? I'm knitting a scarf with mohair on size 13s, and I've been dropping stitches. It's driving me crazy that the stitches are sliding all over the place. My gauge/tension is correct, so it's not that the sts are too loose on the needle. Where can I find a wide selection of knitting needles online? I've looked all over town here, but they only have a couple of sizes. I can only find metal ones online or ones that cost 20 dollars or more. Does anyone know a place?

My girlfriend has 7mm and 7.5mm knitting needles, I want to know why these are no longer made? I have a pattern that calls for size 7mm andI figure I could use 6.5mm but was wondering why I can't find what she has, she's like Barbie, has everything, lol.

Why are there different lengths for circular knitting needles? If your pattern calls for a 24" circular needle size US 7, would you be able to use a 30" circular needle size US 7?
