What is the best & cheapest mode of advertising my embroidery digitizing business.? I run an embroidery digitizing business and would like to increase my customer base, I have already tried online advertising with many providers, such as Google Adwords, Yahoo and the likes. Unfortunately nothing seems to work - I have done my own Search Engine Optimization - and even though my site is listed in the top 10 of Yahoo organic search, I have not been receiving any significant enquiries. I also tried my hands on direct marketing, by mailing postcards - that doesn't seem to work either and I might I add - its very expensive. Besides, I reckon that most of the businesses involved in retail embroidery are still not using internet as a means of communication, sales or outsourcing. I am planning on advertising in newspapers and the thing that I can't seem to decide is that should I go for 'Thrifty Nickels' or 'Penny Savers' to get the most for my money. question on digitizing with motif fill? Recently I started learning how to digitize on my own. And I have a question about digitizing embroidery designs using motif fill. I am pretty sure that to make a "brick" or "stone wall" pattern you can use a motif fill without having to actually draw individual bricks. But I can't get it to work and I can't find a tutorial on how to do it. Can anyone explain to me how to tackle motif fill to perform this effect?

Are there good alternatives to the embroidery software that comes with the Singer Futura? I bought my wife the singer and it seems to me that there has got to be better software out there for controling the machine and for digitizing fonts and pictures.

Can my Brother SE350 embroidery machine read from standard memory cards and what type? ? It looks like a slot for something like a compact flash card. Does anyone know what type of card this is? I can't imagine I'd have to buy "special" cards. I know I'll need software to digitize/convert images in PES format. Anyone in the embroidery business? We're about to start an embroidery business and we're trying to get it running by August. We're starting small with a Tajima one head TFMX-C 1501 15 needle machine. We want to get a web site going as well: one website for the business in general and one website for digitizing. How do I send words and text to my embroidery machine? Hello. I'm new to embroidery. I just purchased the Brother 270D. I have the Amazing Box 2, and some designs I've downloaded from the internet. I'm fine with the designs and understand how they work and how to get them to the machine. I get confused when it comes to fonts. I see fonts that you buy for $10-15. I see free fonts. However, it looks like the files are individual for each letter. How/What do I need to type words and transfer it as a pattern to my machine. For instance, if I want to type "Happy Birthday" is there a program that will allow me to load fonts that I've purchased or downloaded for free that will stitch it and allow me to send the words "Happy Birthday" to the machine. I'm really not interested in getting into digitizing. I just want something basic that will let me type and embroider random words. I looked at Embroidery Fonts Plus, but it looks like you are limited to their fonts. Would Embroidery Magic I work or am I limited to their fonts as well?
