Summary: guitar stitch mfm 7 46a MFM Con Crud This year s MFM was an exceptionally good convention   The drive though tedious and long went fairly easy   Luckily my vehicle survived the drive with not a lick of trouble I would give a shout out to all the people that made this a special convention but I don t have a list of all the attendees and staff   In other words there s not one person at the convention that didn t contribute to the atmosphere making MFM a very special event   MFM is not my home convention by proximity   That honor goes to Megaplex   However there is a marked difference between being home and feeling at home   I marked convention with an asterisk above for the simple reason that I hesitate to call MFM a convention   Sure it has all the makings of a convention   There are panels dances registration one of the most painless registrations I ve been through a GoH etc   The MFM staff do a really great job and I don t want them to take it the wrong way but the panels and events are really lame in comparison to the whole reason I go to MFM   You see to me it s not a convention   It s a family reunion   At no other mass furry event is the sense of the furry family more evident at MFM   There s plenty of furry community at all events but here I truely feel like I belong   You don t have to do anything and you still find yourself wound up in conversation with someone that you ve never met before and you feel a familial connection Even if the schedule were completely blank I would still go to MFM just to be with my family This isn t the comprehensive con report that I promised earlier but when I thought about it I realized there s not much I could say   I could go into detail about all the wonderful activities I participated in and the great times I had when I wasn t doing something but why   No this post is to report on what makes MFM the one cannot miss event out of the year   It s 12 hours on the road 750 miles several hundred dollars and one great time that leaves me feeling at peace with everyone and everything   This past year was my 3rd MFM and thus far I have yet to leave the convention without taking something home that I can use in every day life   I m not talking T shirts   MFM is an event where I have begun to grow That said  I just want to thank everyone for an awesome weekend   From TC to the staffers to the volunteers to the hotel staff gonna miss you guys to all attendees thank you from the very bottom of my heart The weekend did not end all in the happy zone for me however   I seem to have picked up a touch of con crud   I m hoping it ll improve without medical intervention but right now it s threatening to get really bad   It s possible that this is something triggered by allergies   I ll let you know if I get
